How would you feel if you were seven years old and were in the middle of a war scene? Many countries around the world are putting their children to war. These children are only seven to eighteen years old. Most kids in the war have no skill in reading, writing, or math; they only focus their thoughts in warfare and what will become of them after the war. They all wonder if they would see their brothers or sisters again, who knows what thoughts are going through their minds at this very moment. My opinion of this worldwide controversy is that these children should not face such responsibility at such a young age.
How would you feel if you were torn away from your family? It’s like ripping part of you heart out and just throwing it away. Kids in the war have no memories to share with their future kids, no moments, and no one to love them. Right now, there are approximately 300,000 children fighting in wars across the world. I fell that this way too many children living the responsibilities of adults. One boy, named Charles, was scared when the guards took him to war. If any of the guards found out that he was scared they would kill on the scene. The guards and children are thought to give no mercy. These children are weighted down with mental and physical pressure, mentally with the responsibility and physically with the heavy armor and guns. I fell that these children should enjoy there life while they are young and live the most of it. Also these mean adults placed the youngest ones closest to the battle, even though they are the most vulnerable.
These children really should not face such gruesome warfare. I believe this job more meant for adults rather than young children. One possible solution to this problem is to join membership with the International Child Welfare Organization and donate money to the cause. The money will help the cause of decreasing the amount of child soldiering. The worldwide epidemic is like slavery all over again.
