Did you know that children can serve as human mine detectors, on suicide missions, act as spies, and carry supplies? Sounds harsh, doesn’t it? More than 300,000 children are forced into war, or even join to get money for their families. Child soldiers are used in many countries and lots get wounded or even die. I think that no matter what, children should not serve in the war.
War is for adults, not children. Children suffer higher casualties in the war than adult soldiers in war. If this continues, it can effect future population. Children have to kill own families or other child soldiers and if they don’t obey, they will be killed. This is a hard thing to do at any age, but especially childhood. Pikou, (a child soldier) said he had to kill his own commander. Also, kids that are in war do not get the education to survive after the war to support themselves, get jobs, etc.
Kids should have fun, learn, play, etc. Not serve in the war. Encourage your government to monitor this issue and help prevent child soldiers. Would you want your child to be a mine detector? I didn’t think so.
